Our AVA shopping park supported the humanitarian action “Let her be hers again”, organized by the Autonomous Women’s Center (AŽC). This organization, which in its 30 years of existence has supported more than 30,000 women who survived violence, launched a fund-raising campaign for its Women’s Emergency Support Fund – “Let her be hers again”, and these days you can visit our park and scan the QR code, located at the setting with the purse symbolizing this action. This fund, for which funds are collected, is used by AŽC to pay urgent expenses for women who are in a situation of violence: medical examinations, court fees, emergency accommodation, free legal aid, food, hygiene or textbooks for children, payment of transportation costs for departure in institutions, etc. For her freedom, it is not enough just to report the violence. He needs to feel safe. To know that he will have the basic necessary means. She is free when she is safe.

The campaign “Let her be hers again” was inspired by a brave woman who survived violence. She said that she felt free when she bought herself a red purse: “All my life I wanted to have a red purse and I bought a red purse.” The road to regaining freedom, to recognizing one’s authentic self is a long one. Support, understanding and concrete help are needed.
